Welcome to the Magnum Blog

Dear colleagues and friends,

Magnum Photos is delighted to introduce the Magnum Blog, an online forum for discussing photography and photojournalism. Our photographers come from 27 different countries and are considered to be among the world’s best. The blog is a new medium for them to recount the details behind their images, to expose the motivations behind their projects, to discuss the systematic issues that affect all photographers and photojournalists, and to explore the industrial and societal changes that inform our expectations of photography.

The Magnum Blog is an exciting, brave and necessary step for Magnum. I am very much looking forward to see its development and growth as well as the discussions that arise around the blog and its topics.
Hopefully it will be an active place for photographers, journalists, photo enthusiasts, visual storytellers and everybody else.
I am honored that I was able to be part of creating this new resource!
All the best,
Martin
