This is easily one of the most powerful photographs of the fall of the Berlin wall. The expression of the man. What a beautiful photo!

A caballo entre dos mundos, un pie a cada lado, dominando a la bestia, un pequeña distancia que genero mucho dolor.

It looks a century but it is only 18 years. Time cancel everythings. Dead remain!

correct caption would be:

"A young man RIDES the wall between East and West Berlin on November 11th 1989."

;)

i can still remember when i had a look over the wall to the east from these 'look-outs' they build for tourists when i was a child....

18 years along time but we still have along way to go. If we could tear down the imaginary walls that are built up in the minds of powerful governments. That would be a real achievement. Even more to tear down the walls in the common man's minds.

Great picture!
I was very young back then, barely remember it.

This image makes me remember this incredible period in which the German People fall in their arms again, after so many years of separation.

...and on the way to a new "wall"..

Very moving photos. You clearly portray the strong emotions and how much this day means to everyone who remembers, and especially for those who were there.
