Yes, perfect image! And the title of this little book is just on time.
You have a many very elegant pictures in this series of photos.

heart-breaking, nearly untenable vision of the depth of the loss and despair that are part of this chilled landscape....having just spent a bunch of time with Richards new heartbreaking The Blue Room, the tide feels so sweeping...what keeps me from feeling total despair, from the LastDaysofW are the moments are extraordinary humour and vitality (if nothing, people are amazingly stalwart) that come forth....the PB&J sandwich, long-legged blondes and soldiers, icecreamandcigar, st. sabstien and kleenix, pingpong and the bible, cowboy boots cradling woodallen's ancestor, tombstoneand minn, rocket and grandpa, runner and the tree(brilliant!), rudolf and the truckstop....etc etc.....a brilliant book....

and let's hope W's largess to keep giving gets squandered quickly....and those young children return again and again and again...

cheers

happy holidays

An interesting interpretation of the change in politics. I ask myself where this photo could be published, because the topic is for adults, but the photo seems to talk more tho children.

just a quick stop by to see if my original comment had been reinstated....well, wasn't anything remarkably, but i'd hoped/expected more finesse here ..total weird out that my original post went the way of Dr. Evil's "lazar" ;))))....

well, Alec's book is still strong, and makes for an interesting book end with Richard's The Blue Room....

time to skip out of here, places to go, shadow to carve up...

peace y'all

Damn, Bob, I loved that comment and was grateful for you taking the time to look through the work. I'll check with Martin Fuchs. I know he's getting pummeled by spam. I suspect your comment was accidentally flushed down the toilet with all the Viagra and Cialis.

Alec Soth and Trent Parke, both inspired me a lot...how wonderful to see them on Magnum... This idea is brilliant and very well done, like the picture above...

keep rockin' guys....

Alec: :))

no worries, i figure it was lost due to the tidal wave of recent spam/viagra/running shoe shit ;))...

i'd re-write what i wrote if i could remember (i often type on the run)...this new bloc is dynamite and i dont envy Martin at all, i hope once of the that stuff gets worked out, it will return to form...do not loose heart! :)))

again, to all watching: Alec's book really is brilliant, not only filled with forlorn moments but also images of extraordinary humor (our salvation)....and i think Alec's book The Last Days of W could be shared with Richard's The Blue Room, as 2 brilliant book ends that carve out the end of an era....wouldnt that be a great exhibition too?......and through in some of Chris Morris' short films :)))

ok, running

Hi Martin :))

no worries my friend! I figured it got trapped in the Spam/Filter hell ;))...i knew it wasn't you or Alec...it's a shame that trolls/spam have attack this blog, cause i enjoy the newly vamp Magnum blog :)))...i only go to photo blogs (not enough time for more with photo, writing and family life): David's magazine, Magnum blog and John vink...+ Lightstalkers of course...so, i hope that the spam doesnt get too silly...

anyway, thanks for re-storing :))

happy new year!

cheers

really nice toys , but where's the shoe picture ?

The image is quite perfect. A good shot I believe but it's the deeper meaning of this message that can be interpreted differently by other people. But nevertheless it's perfect for me!
