What a pointless film. It was a cross between storking and casing the premises for a robbery. So he has a bottle of whisky and a bed and lots of files! Don't you think an interview would have been more interesting and less obsessive.

Wow, odd piece. I feel a little dirty. . .

Obsessive is definitely the word.

I have to disagree - I thought this was a great little film. It tells us something completely different than an interview would. We're all curious about the spaces people inhabit - its just like the Selby - or MTV's Cribs.

I thought it was really great as well--I expected it to be an interview and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was, literally, "inside the photographer's studio." Clever, deadpan, and insightful.

Strange doesn't even begin to describe it. I'd love to hear what Alec thought about it.

Why did he park in the handicapped spot? If he did that at my studio, I would have towed his ass.

Enjoyed the film, though.

I love it that you can see the blue 4x4 in the car park on Google Earth.

This video makes me want to be a pro photographer - so I can have a studio like that!

No sex? no violence? no shooting or car chases? What kinda video is this? LOL!
seriously ..... what I gathered from the video was the large body of work by Alec as well as his nice library. I do have a question though..... what were those packages in the refrigerator? the main fault I saw with it was that there was as much footage devoted to the GPS and car travel as there was either to Alec or his studio.
All in all he could have done as well mounting a action cam on the dog.

even tough I'm surprised about the lack of words (funny tough..) I am enchanted to see such a large room for expression...since i started this year a Photo business in Milan (Italy), of only a small room, this is really a dream..:-)
Nice video...

What a total waste of time. I love Alec's work, I love the Magnum ethos. The photographers in the Magnum pantheon are amongst the finest who have ever picked up a camera. This video, however, will fuel the rantings of everybody who thinks photographers are a bunch of self indulgent children. Wandering around with a video camera and pointing it in random directions is not 'art' it's self indulgent c*@p. We have a hard enough time convincing people to take photography seriously and this type of stuff simply fuels the rantings of those who say that we're just a bunch of pretentious and talentless wanabees who would be 'proper' artists if only we had some talent. Producing a video that my 5 year old son could have shot is not doing anybody any favours. HCB must be spinning in his grave.
