Susan Meiselas studio currently seeks an intern for a minimum of 6-10 hours a week. Intern will work alongside the studio archivist in organizing, cataloging and preserving photographer's slides, prints, and related documents.
Responsibilities include proper handling of original silver gelatin and C-prints and source material, database maintenance, and other organizational tasks. Ideal candidate is incredibly organized, detail oriented, and able to maintain focus on the project at hand. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and FileMaker Pro. Prior experience with maintaining photography collections is a plus.

Jim Goldberg Studio, San Francisco, CA
We are currently seeking energetic and reliable undergraduate students for semester-long internships in a fast-paced artist/photographer’s studio. Applicants should be organized, professional, and have a solid understanding of chemical/digital photography. A flexible schedule and sense of humor are helpful. The studio is located in the Mission District of San Francisco.
The internship requires at least one day/week in the studio (Tuesday – Thursday) assisting the photographer, studio manager, and other assistants. Tasks may include basic studio upkeep, handling deliveries, scanning/archiving, exhibition planning, as well as more creative tasks. Applicants are expected to be familiar with Apple computers and software, Adobe Creative Suite, and proper scanning/archiving procedures. Attention to detail, consistency, and being proficient and adept with FlexColor/Photoshop/Lightroom are highly desired qualities.
